Roundtable on the topic: “Public Procurement through the EU Law and Practice”
The Roundtable for Judges and Judicial Assistants of the Administrative Court, with Judge of the Administrative Court of Slovenia Borut Smrdel, on the topic “Public Procurement through the EU Law and Practice” was held on 8th of April 2024 in Belgrade, organized by the NALED Project “Public Procurement and Good Governance for Greater Competitiveness”. The topics discussed at the Roundtable were the following: EU directives on public procurement and legal remedies, legal protection systems in the public procurement proceedings within the EU and the region, specificity of the public procurement system in Slovenia, specific topics within the public procurement, particularly directives, case-law of the Court of Justice of the EU and case-law of the regulatory bodies in the Republic Slovenia (active legitimation, green public procurement, economically most advantageous tender and abnormally low tender).
Within the opening speech, the Court President of the Administrative Court, Judge Radojka Marinković told the participants that common legal tradition upon which the legal institutes of the administrative judiciaries of Serbia and Slovenia are established enables comparative understanding of judicial protection in the public procurement proceedings, focusing on the implementation of the EU directives on public procurement into the national legislation of the Republic of Serbia, significance of the case-law of the CJEU and experiences of the Republic of Slovenia as a Member State in the implementation of the EU law.
