Attendance at public hearings

The hearings are, in principle, public, and all the citizens of legal age, as well as representatives of the media, have the right to attend public hearings at the Court.

The panel of judges may exclude the public from entire public hearing or from a specific part of it, if it is required by the reasons of protection of the national security interests, public order and ethics, as well as protection of juveniles’ interests or the privacy of participants in the proceedings.

The Court renders a decision on the exclusion of the public, which must be reasoned and published.

Public Announcements

The media representatives may be informed on cases of public interest on the website of the Court.

On cases of higher public interest, the media representatives may be informed by email and fax, and also by verbal communication. The Administrative Court organizes media conferences, if necessary.

The information on the work of the Court, as well as information on specific cases, is shared by the Court President and Spoksperson of the Court. The protected data and data which are classified as secret, according to the specific regulations, and also the data the publication of which is excluded or limited by the law are not shared.

Taking photos, and audio and video recording at the public hearings, in relation to their publication, can be granted upon approval of the Court President, with a previously obtained consent of the presiding judge of the panel, a judge rapporteur and a written agreement of the parties and persons featured in the recording.

The accreditation is required if the journalists and accompanying camera operators and photographers are interested in recording a video inside the premises of the Court, upon a written request no later than one day before taking a photo and recording a video, for the purpose of timely response to the request.
